11,000 BPO Jobs planned in South Africa

September 15, 2011: South Africa, one of the fastest developing nations in the world has today become the favorite destinations for outsourcers. It is in the past two years the country has achieved many milestones particularly in the Information Technology (IT) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector. Today global companies are finding it more comfortable to continue operations from South Africa. The country was also ranked among the top three suitable destinations for the outsourcers by a research firms recently.

As the industry as a whole in South Africa is rapidly growing, the department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has sanctioned huge grants for its further growth and expansion. According to sources the department has granted 157 million dollar as incentive schemes for some companies in the sector as such. To name the companies which will avail the incentives are First Call Center Solution and Call Center International. Moreover there are also companies such as Old Mutual Assurance and Amazon Development Centre. Amicorp South Africa is also another firm which will be provided with the incentives.

The fundamental purpose of this huge amount is to disburse the total into 10 different projects, so that these projects can provide employment to more than 11,000 people. It is also expected that the projects will extend for a period of three years. South African outsourcing service providers will find these incentives as a very good opportunity for development. The incentives can be utilized for enhancing the current service provided by the companies and also to make them globally competitive. Just having huge potential work force at cheap rate will not fetch the companies to survive in the long run. Companies in the Information Technology (IT) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector must be competitively smart and should be well equipped to deliver high quality services to full fill the requirements of global clients.

In the current scenario before selecting or deciding on the services of any service providers, the client will conduct a thorough evaluation on the ability of the service providers to deliver quality service, time management and other advantages. Thus it has become a basic requirement for the company to become competitively well equipped and deliver something unique for the clients.

The incentive provided will help in the economic development of the nation. New job opportunities will also emerge. As far as ministry is concern they have not implemented any restrictions as if now on how to utilizes the incentives provided the companies should deliver new job opportunities.
