TCS targets one billion dollars from iON cloud services

August 20, 2011- Tata Consultancy Service (TCS), the leading service provider in the Information Technology unveiled their cloud service offering, iON on Friday, August 19th 2011 at New Delhi.

iON cloud service is an integrated information technology solution provided for small and medium business. According toe the authorities the latest IT solution by TCS is expected to generate huge revenue of around 1 billion dollar in the coming years.

The purpose of the iON is basically to deliver on-demand business solutions to the small and medium business. The company expects that in the coming year small and medium business will avail the service of different innovative technologies. According to sources the company is anticipating to reach the target of 1000 customers by the end of this year which has already about 250 customers.

The company has forecasted that the small and medium business might spend around 48.5 billion dollars in another five years which was 11.9 billion dollar in the previous year. Moreover the global size of the market is also expected to rapidly grow up to 2.47 trillion dollar. Thus TCS finds it as huge unexploited gap and according to the top executives they are sure that the untapped business scope in the small and medium business can be exploited well.

Experts gave the opinion that this will boost the competitiveness of the small and medium business in the global market as the latest technology will deliver world class service and business solutions to the firms in this sector. The innovative technology from TCS will address areas such as HR, Finance and inventory and deliver business solutions. iON is also well equipped to provide ERP solutions along with document management and website services. This new solution can also enable TCS retain its position as a leader in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Information Technology (IT) sector.  

According to reports Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) is about to make an unbelievable growth of 24.3% higher than the previous year and end up with a net profit of Rs. 9068 crore. TCS plans to take first mover advantage it is obvious that the company will make huge turn over in the long run.
