Capgemini placed in top position in Outsourced Testing Services: Ovum Report

December 5, 2011: Capgemini, one of the leading service providers in consulting, technology and outsourcing, has announced that it has been ranked number one by Ovum in its benchmarking study of outsourced testing services. It has managed to secure the top position by competing against many worlds’ leading technology service providers. The integrated Testing Practice of Capgemini and Sogeti Business unit was identified specifically for its expertise in test process along with its customer friendliness and responsiveness.

Ovum has specifically recognized Capgemini’s structured approach to testing using Sogeti’s Test Management Approach and Test Process Improvement methodologies, which are used by other service providers of testing services as well. Moreover, the Test Management Approach is considered as a standard for testing in many of the organizations across the world. It includes realistic methods for a risk based testing approach, which enables the testers to optimize the cost and benefits of testing. In addition to this helps Chief Information Officers and test mangers to obtain buy in from C-level decision makers.

The ovum services guide benchmarks service providers who offer software and system testing services to organizations across the globe. The study was based on 20 important criteria that define the capabilities of the service providers and measure their competitiveness. The study benchmarked 13 organizations which offer software and system testing services, and placed Capgemini Group at the first position, ahead of many other leading service providers in the market.

Ovum observed how Capgemini group works along with customers to share a common ground on Service Level Agreements and KPI’s to combine decision making. Capgemini was also appreciated for their ability to meet diverse language and cultural requirements of their clients.
